Go to the third party database module in the menu at the top left of the home screen.
Click Import substance data.
Enter the name or CASnumber of the substance and select the language.
Tick box BIG. If ChemWatch is on, you can uncheck it. If you also want to and can search in ChemWatch, leave the checkbox unticked. The choice for the database depends on the database you purchased when purchasing SOFOS 360®.
Click on search fabrics. SOFOS 360 now searches the existing database.
All green fabrics are already in our own database (Dust module).
All other substances have been retrieved from the BIG Database and can be imported.
For example, the search query 'vinegar' returns these records:
It is possible that there are many substances with the search value in the name. You can see this by scrolling down. If you see a number of pages, you may want to refine your search by providing more information in the search window, or search by CAS number.
Select the substance by checking it and click on Accept substance data.
The substance data has been transferred to the database and can be searched in the substances module.
You can then look it up manually by using the search bar at the top right or by using the hotkey.
